Vienna

Vienna is the capital and largest city of Austria (1.9 million inhabitants). The city is located in the east of the country and crossed by the Danube. Capital of the Duchy then Archduchy of Austria, it was in fact that of the Germanic world during the reign of the House of Habsburg over the Holy Roman Empire. It was at the same time that of the Empire of Austria (1804–1867) and then of Austria-Hungary (1867-1918). For several years, it has been one of the first places in numerous international rankings rewarding the quality of life in metropolitan areas.
