Verona has a population of approximately 257,000 inhabitants, it competes with Venice for the title of the most populated municipality in the region. It is located on the northern borders of the Po plain, on the banks of the Adige, at the foot of the Vicentine Prealps and near Lake Garda. Verona is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List for its urban peculiarities, its artistic and cultural wealth.
