The Brecca Valley

The Breccaschlund is a karst plain covered with primitive forest and located above the Black Lake, in the canton of Friborg, Switzerland. The site has been listed in the Federal Inventory of Landscapes, Sites and Natural Monuments of National Importance since 1996. The valley, which was created during the last ice age, is home to many alpine animals, a wide variety of flowers and sycamore maples.
