Alpe Devero in the far north of Piedmont on the borders of Switzerland is a world perched at the end of an unlikely little road. Car-free alpine pasture, small alpine hamlets decorate the valley. The Parco naturale dell’Alpe Devero was established to ensure the protection of the alpine environment of the Italian side of the Lepontine Alps. The park is located in the territory of the municipality of Baceno, in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola.
