Located in the plain of the Orbe, between Chavornay and Orbe, the Creux de Terre reserve includes in its heart marshy and wooded areas, bordered by meadows and field crops. Its richness in wetlands gives the site a particular attractiveness, as much for the avifauna as for the batrachians or the flora. Several plant and animal species, rare and threatened, find in the Creux de Terre favorable conditions for their reproduction or their rest during migration. It is a reserve of national importance.
